Bayern Munich defender Dante is set to join Wolfsburg, despite speculation linking him with Leicester.
It was claimed by the Sunday People that Leicester were making a bid to sign Dante, while the Mail on Sunday suggested Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal had considered signing the 31-year-old but has concerns about Brazilian players fitting in with his philosophy.
It is Wolfsburg, however, that have reached agreement to sign Dante, pending a medical, for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said the central defender had asked to be released after losing his place in the starting line-up; Dante made his final appearance for Bayern as a substitute in Saturday's 3-0 win over Leverkusen.
Dante will link up with his former Bayern team-mate at Wolfsburg, his compatriot Luiz Gustavo, who moved to Lower Saxony two years ago.
Wolfsburg finished runners-up in the Bundesliga last season and also won the German Cup.
